Law Enforcement Requests
In accordance with various privacy regulations, we are generally restricted from sharing user data without a subpoena and are unable to disclose the contents of emails or other electronic communications without a court order. We are committed to assisting law enforcement in their responsibilities to ensure public safety. We recommend reviewing the relevant laws prior to submitting requests for customer information. We strive to reply to legitimate law enforcement inquiries within seven (5-10) business days.
Important Customer Information
We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to notify the affected customer prior to taking action in response to a civil or administrative subpoena. This means that while we can choose to inform the customer about the subpoena, we are not required to do so. In addition, we may delay our compliance with the subpoena for a period of up to ten (10) calendar days. This postponement is intended to provide our customer with the opportunity to challenge the subpoena or to seek a protective order from a relevant court, which may help safeguard their interests and privacy. However, it is important to note that this postponement may not apply in certain circumstances, such as emergency situations or when there are legal restrictions that prevent us from delaying our response. In cases involving criminal investigations, we generally maintain confidentiality and take steps to protect sensitive information.
